Episode 3: Claire Daly, our Executive Assistant
Who is Claire Daly?
Claire joined TenderSpace just over 2 years ago. Originally from Poole, Claire has over 20 years of experience as an assistant working for various large organisations and is currently doing a part-time AAT course (Association of Accounting Technicians). She was attracted to the TenderSpace and the variety the position offered “I wanted to be part of a start-up business and was excited to learn about the construction industry”.
What does your role entail at TenderSpace?
My role includes a range of various duties such as finance, accounting, human resources and admin. I am learning all the time and It’s interesting to see new things pop-up. I love the variety.
What do you do outside of work?
I’m married with two boys who keep me very busy and we do a lot of family days out. They enjoy sports and are very active so I try and keep up with them! I also play the piano and used to teach my niece which was very rewarding.
What’s your favourite building or structure?
The Queensferry Crossing in Scotland and the Fourth Rail Bridge are pretty impressive. I love the design as they look very unique. Bridges in general are incredible because of the way they are built.
Ayers Rock in Australia also fascinates me; it really is a natural wonder. My husband and I climbed it in 2000, whilst on honeymoon. We had to get there very early because of the heat out there – an amazing place to visit!
What would you say to yourself if you were just starting out in the business?
Take any opportunities that are given to you and make the most out of them!
